History, Mission and Values
When our first student flew into London Heathrow from Venice Marco Polo, in the early summer months of 2013, it marked the beginning of Richmond English School’s short - but infinitely enjoyable - history.
We are not part of a large group or corporate entity, and have always tried to make the experience of studying with us as personal and friendly as it was on day one.
We want you to enjoy your time with us, and we want you to leave with happy memories.
But that is not to say that we don’t have a strong academic focus. Far, far from it. A high proportion of our (adult) students want - or need - to attain English language qualifications, and many of the courses we offer are therefore exam based, whether that be Cambridge, IELTS or the OET.
We want our students to pass whatever tests they face, and our mission is the same today as it has been from the beginning: “Work hard every day to help our students reach objectives and enjoy learning.”
And in trying to help our students towards success, we aim to uphold our core values of Empathy, Kindness, Competence and Commitment.
Empathy because we understand what it’s like to try to learn, and that’s it’s not always easy.
Kindness because we want you to enjoy your time here, and believe that a friendly, positive environment is the one in which you will learn most effectively.
Competence because we try to be excellent at what we do, at all times.
And Commitment because we are totally committed to your success.
Do come and join us. We’d love to hear from you.
