Please note that IELTS offer both General and Academic versions of their Tests. At Richmond English School we prepare students for IELTS Academic.

IELTS Academic Exam is primarily for those who want to enrol on UK University courses, and also for professionals who need to demonstrate they have met the language requirements enabling them to practise in an English-speaking country.

Is this course at my level ?
Our IELTS course is called IELTS 7+ because it is designed for those who need a minimum Band Score of 7. To study on the IELTS 7+ course, you should therefore have at least a B2 Level of English at the beginning of your course.

We are happy to assess your current English level with in more detail if you would like us to. We can do this via video link or in person at the school. We will make the assessment free of charge, and it normally takes around half an hour.
