Excursions and Social Program

There are hundreds of things to see and do when you are here, both locally, in central London and to further away places on a day trip. Almost all students take part in excursions and events, in order to experience new things, meet people, make friends and practise English. You can receive more details by signing up to our newsletter, following our social media posts, and there is always up-to-date information on the school noticeboards. Our trips locally in Richmond and in London are free of charge whenever possible. .

London Excursions

We organise regular excursions and social events in Richmond and London, led by a member of staff. Our Friday evening Beer'n' Burgers social in The Railway Tavern is always popular and we have regular local excursions to places such as Richmond Park or the Thames Path. At weekends, we often visit central London, where mmost museums and galleries do not charge for entry, so our events are almost always free of charge. However, you will need to budget about £20 for your travel card, food, and drink.

Day Trips Outside London

For day trips we partner with UK Study Tours, who are accredited by the Department for Education. Full details are on the noticeboards, and you can book your place in the office. There is no booking fee. Transport (included in the price) is usually by coach from Hammersmith, which is easy to reach from Richmond. Most day trips cost from £40 to £60, and we will tell you what is included in the cover price and what you need to pay for on the day, so there are no unexpected costs. For example, the Stonehenge and Bath trip currently costs £50. This includes coach travel and entry to Stonehenge, but not entry to the Roman Baths, so you need to allow for an extra £20 if you wanted to go into the Baths themselves.
